No Shower to long with the Eco Drop

Saving water has become one of the most important habits of a modern day human being. Don't ask me why for that would give me an outright chance to call you a jerk. It truly is important people and in the years to come the level of importance would be such that we would have to think about it even whilst taking a shower. In such a scenario, a judicious decision would be to use the Eco Drop Shower. The amazing shower works on a simple principle where the floor embed concentric circles (check image) convey the waves of the falling droplets. That is a normal shower floor until you overuse the water, wherein the circles would rise ultimately disallowing you to stand under the shower. A great way to save water, especially for the ones who can't just stop themselves from sitting under the shower for hours together.

There has been a lot of emphasis in recent years on conserving water, but we all know that for most people self-regulation is damn near impossible. Enter designer Tommaso Colia and his Eco_Drop Shower. When the shower has decided that you have outstayed your welcome, concentric circles on the floor will rise&mdashmaking things too uncomfortable to continue. I don't know if this concept will ever see the light of day, but I vote for modifying it into a moving wall of spikes. Now that would be effective. Additional pic after the break.

Showers Kicks You Out For Wasting Water - Designer Tommaso Colia has an eco-friendly shower design that will force you to get out when you take too long and waste much water. The eco_drop shower features beautiful concentric circles that will rise to force you to stop showering when you take too long, and accordingly save water.

I think this design should be used in gyms and public showers. People take longer when the resources are free, this will help cut that down.

Eco Drop - The Cattle Prod of Showers

When good old self-motivation just doesn't work, sometimes we just need a bit more of a push. In comes the Eco Drop shower, which will provide that extra “push” by forcing “ripples” through the surface of your showers' floor.

With four levels of intensity, the shower progresses from “kinda weird” to “get me outta here”, as it decides you've been using too much water. The ripples in the floor will rise, causing discomfort to the point where you can no longer stand it.

Also good for getting you to work on time, The Eco Drop, from designer Tommaso Colia, is unfortunately only a concept. It'd be interesting to see how many would opt for a physical deterrent to wasting water.

Frickin Wicked is…. Showers That Eat People

Designer Tommaso Colia's Eco_Drop Shower eats people. Well maybe not actually eat them but when the shower has decided that you have outstayed your welcome, concentric circles on the floor rise & make standing in the stall too uncomfortable to continue.

Eco_Drop Shower: Forcing You to Save Water

Water conservation has been actively pursued for a while now, although truthfully, I don't see many people making a conscious effort to do so. A new concept which surfaced recently that's related to the issue got me thinking if tough love might really be the answer to our problems. Designer Tommaso Colia, for one, seems to think so to some extent. After all, he developed the Eco_Drop Shower design.

The Eco_Drop shower is a slab of bathroom shower floor which has the capability to curb your water usage. Its concentric circle design becomes more pronounced the more water you use, until standing atop it becomes quite a pain. Of course, concepts like these might not even get to the planning stage for a while, but it sure is an interesting way to try and conserve precious water. I just hope that when it IS developed, there's a way to turn it off, especially when you're in need of a long hot shower after a stressful day.
